U15 National Cup Watergrasshill Utd 4 Macroom 3 AET

There 2 excellent teams have been battling with each other the last 4 years in the league; the games are always tough, fair, exciting, normally very close and saturdays game was all of these and more. Dilan O Donovan made his debut for us and had a great game on the right wing. The game itself ebbed and flowed with wgh going from 0-1 to 2-1 to 2-...3 to 3-3 and finally 4-3 aet. It certainly was not for the faint hearted but both teams played really well over 100 minutes which is an awful long time for 14 year olds to play. Goalscorers were Dylan Ring with the goal of the game and a brilliant hat trick from Adam Murphy. On the day when all 15 players used were heroic I have to give a special mention to Denis Hegarthy who had a tremendous game at centre back. Well done to Denis and all the panel on a great win. Next up its Macroom again in the league at home!!. Thanks Noel and Pat
