Jan 22nd – U14 Cup – Watergrasshill (1) (5) Killreen

Watergrasshill Utd 1 Killreen 5 U14 Cup. On a windy morning WGH Utd U14 took on Kilreen in the local cup. The first half was an even contest even if the refs very strange decisions was ruining the match for both teams. Kilreen took the lead with a converted penalty after another dubious decision by the ref but Utd replied with a superb free kick from Dylan McCarthy to make it 1-1 at half time. In the second half Kilreen's 1st Div power showed when mid way through second half they pulled away scoring four more well taken goals to win a match that was ruined for both teams by a very poor referee and thats being kind in my assessment of his display.
