Due to a tremendous turnout today at home for the first of our Small Sided League Games we had two under 7 teams in action and this will be the case for the remainer of their league campaign over the next 6 weeks or so.

In this particular game the team was as follows:

Ross Hennessy, Shane Cahill, Jack Healy, Tim Sexton, Denis Cashman, Sam Dennehy, Eldon O Connor, Ciaran O Riordan, Mike O Riordan, Conor Hurley, Ciaran O Leary.

Under the watchful eyes of coaches Pat Healy, Noel Prendergast & Paul Sharkey, despite going down to an early goal, the entire team showed great resolve & determination to fight back immediately.

There were numerous great passages of play, from defense through to midfield and to our forward line resulting in a goal feast during the 3 x 15 minute periods.

This was the first real test for this squad and from 1-11 each player done their job efficiently and continued to drive forward at every opportunity.

Ross in goal made a fabulous save at the begining of the second period which lifted the team. Great defensive displays by Tim, Shane, Jack & Conor, gelling well with the midfield of Denis, Sam & both Ciaran's and polished off up front by Eldon & Mike.

Man of the match: Sam Dennehy for his hatrick including a magnificant free kick and for his overall team play.

Training will change to TUESDAY evenings with immediate effect 6-7pm, Euro 2/child
