Our U16 team got back to playing after weeks of inaction this morning with a fine win over Douglas Hall, with key players missing some of the younger lads from the U15 squad stepping up to the plate. We went one up mid way in first half when PJ Dennehy was sent clear with a fine ball from Ronan O Keeffe, PJ finished well to make it one nil it stayed that way to half time. We kept the pressure up in second half and once again PJ made it two nil and we went three up when man of the match Dylan O Donavan scored direct from a corner. We lost our way somewhat with about 15 min to go when we gave away a spot kick and soon after that a very sloppy goal to put ourselfs under undue pressure but we weathered the storm to win out in the end.
