The U11's squad earned a hard fought victory away to local rivals

Glounthaune Utd on Friday Night.

Despite Watergrasshill having all the chances the sides were level at Nil Nil at half time. 10 minutes into the second half our persistence finally paid off when good work by Gavin Gowen in defence led to a great cross from the right wing by Sean Desmond and a powerful finish by Daire O Leary.

Watergrasshill defence and midfield had to remain vigilante to hold on to their slender lead from there to the end. In the final few minutes Eoin Griffin playing upfront was rewarded for his consistent support running when he did very well to get his foot on to the end of a deflected cross by Sean Desmond.

Man of the Match for his energy and willingness to get his head or foot to every ball goes to Shane O Reilly.
