Apr 15th – Under 7 Match Report

Watergrasshill United Squad: Shane Cahill, Denis Cashman, Sam Dennehy, Eldon O Connor, Mike O Riordan, Ciaran O Leary, Ciaran O Riordan and Tim Sexton

Earlier this morning our Under 7's travelled to Springfield, who are based in Cobh, for our 3rd league game of the season.

It was our first league game on astro but this did not have any affect on our play and we soon ran into an early lead.

Starting with Ciaran O Leary in goal our back three of Shane, Tim & Mikey although not having much to do, stayed focused on the job in hand and were very patient. Our midfield of Sam in the middle, Denis on the left and Ciaran o Riordan on the right were really up for it today and drove forward at every opprotunity with some great passes between Sam and Denis on the left wing & Eldon up front on his own. Eldon acted as our first line of defense causing headaches for the Springfield back line.

Despite been well ahead & comfortable throughout the entire game all players kept their heads and competed for every ball until the final whistle.

Numerous goals,( including a superb volley from Sam), from Denis, Ciaran O Leary, Sam & Eldon.
