Sept 19th – U16 Watergrasshill United (5) V (1) Avondale

WGH Utd U16s made their home division 1 debut against Avondale last Sunday morning. This was a game we dominated from start to finish and raced to a 3-0 lead at the half time whistle with goals from Adam Murphy, Denis Hegarthy and Brian O Callaghan. In truth the second half was a bit of a non event but further goals from Adam and Dilan O Donovan sealed a comfortable win. This division is very even and will be a good test for us but with a little extra belief and effort we are more than capable of holding our own. Congratulations to all our players on getting great junior cert results over the last week.
