Watergrasshill United v Temple United

WGH U12’s collected their first league points of the season with a hard fought and well deserved victory over a strong Temple United team.
The game started perfectly for WGH with a superb chipped goal from James O Leary after one minute. However our comfort was short lived when Temple United replied immediately with a similar goal themselves. WGH found themselves 3 : 1 down at half time despite having the majority of possession and scoring chances. Our patience was rewarded shortly after the break with the first of three goals in succession from Sean Desmond. There was great performances from everyone on our team but a special mentioned is merited for Cathal Feehan playing in central midfield with an inspired and man of the match performance for his willingness to run at the opposition and get the ball into goal scoring positions.

Danone U12 National Cup Third Round

Watergrasshill United v Kilinardrish Coachford

Watergrasshill Under 12’s bowed out of this year’s national cup competition with a spirited performance against a very talented Coachford side.

Goals from James O Leary and Sean Desmond brought WGH back level twice during the game in both halves but our lads were finally undone late in the game by a superb individual goal from Coachford’s star striker. This WGH team should be commended for their never say die attitude which will serve them well in future years.
