Sun Feb 3rd – U10 impresses with passing football in Futsal

On Sunday, Feb 3rd, our U10s travelled to the tennis village for their second outing of futsal. The team were up against strand united ,castleview and old rivals riverstown.

Strand United were first up for the lads and they won easily, playing lovely passing football. Riverstown were up next and the lads really wanted to win this one. At half time they were up 4-1 and they went on to win 6-2. The Team was visibly tired coming off the pitch after the riverstown game as they gave all they had and got rewarded for a great team effort.

The final match was against castleview , the lads were one down after a few minutes but as always with this team they know how to hold a lead but more importantly they know how to come from behind and leveled the match at half time, then went all out to win and did so.

Yet again the team surprised the coaches with their passing and control in a tight area but their vision for a pass for a team so young makes them a pleasure to coach.

Thanks again to all parents for their contuined dedication to get the lads to matches and thanks to the tennis village for putting on a most enjoyable day and finally to the watergrasshill u10 team for always having a smile win lose or draw.
