BLACKPOOL CUP 2013 - Trip Itinerary

Friday next March 29th, departing Watergrasshill village outside the Church on the main street at 4am (To be re-confirmed via text during the next few days). Bus to Dublin Port to connect with the 08.05am fast ferry sailing to Hollyhead.

Then on directly from the ferry, with a stop for a light snack, to see Preston v Southport in their Division 1 league clash, 5pm kick off, on Friday evening March 29th (Match ticket included & paid for) at the Deepdale Stadium, Preston North End FC’s home ground. After the game, we should arrive in our hotel about 8.30pm on Friday night. Board includes breakfast and 4 course evening meal.

The program for the Blackpool Cup 2013 International Tournament as follows:

Friday March 29th 9pm: One Leader only from Watergrasshill United to attend for arrival and check-in for tournament & team leader briefing

Saturday March 30th: Early start, up for breakfast at 7am Tournament - group matches start at 08.30am (Depending on the draw the night before our game times to be confirmed) Games end approximately 3pm, then we are off to "Blackpool Pleasure Beach" www.blackpoolpleasurebeach.com (All rides are paid for)

Sunday March 31st: Another early start with meeting at breakfast for 07.30 am Tournament - group matches and intermediates Games end approximately 3pm & again off to finish what wasn't done the previous day (!!!) at "Blackpool Pleasure Beach" (Again all rides are paid for)

Monday April 01: 07.30am meeting at breakfast Finals followed by prize-giving ceremony

NOTE: The order of play for the finals may be altered to take into account outgoing flight and ferry times only for the relevant participants/finalists.

If we are not still involved in Tournament, we will do a bit of sight seeing & shopping that morning. At 12.30pm we leave for Hollyhead to connect with the 5.15pm scheduled ferry to Dublin.All going well we should be back in Watergrasshill for 11pm ish on Monday April 01.

A few points to note: 1: Players will be at the pitches on the relevant days from 08.15 am to 2.30pm Saturday & Sunday

2: We could have 3 to 4 games per day, depending on results etc

3: Spending money/how much do squad member need/where can we spend money: On the ferry, at Preston home match, at the tournament on snacks, Blackpool Pleasure Beach,shopping, the amount per person is totally at the discretion of parents/guardians/families. Don't forget it's Sterling.

4: Although ID is not essential it would be recommended to bring some, same should apply for Group Leader (s) for saftey purposes.

5: Room break down: 3 allocated per room (Rooms are ensuite & have TV etc)

6: Watergrasshill United crested Club jacket will be provided (Sponsored by MSC Shipping Company, Paul Sharkey) Please bring at least 2 sets of white Shorts / red socks / a pair of shin guards & of course don't forget your football boots...!!
