The Hill on the way..Blackpool Cup Easter 2013

Our Watergrasshill U14 team had an early departure this morning when their bus heading for Blackpool left the hill at 4 am.  A total of 14 players and 6 coaches/mentors were traveling this morning to the Dublin Port where they connect with the 08.05am fast ferry sailing to Hollyhead. Straight from the ferry the team will attend the Preston v Southport in their Division 1 league clash, 5pm kick off,  at the Deepdale Stadium, Preston North End FC’s home ground. Prior to their departure all Watergrasshill United players and the 6 mentors where presented with a crested sports top sponsored by MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company. The photo below shows Adam and Chris with their new MSC sponsored gear for the Blackpool Cup 2013.

BLACKPOOL CUP 2013 - Trip Itinerary

The program for the Blackpool Cup 2013 International Tournament as follows:

Friday March 29th 9pm: One Leader only from Watergrasshill United to attend for arrival and check-in for tournament & team leader briefing

Saturday March 30th: Early start, up for breakfast at 7am Tournament - group matches start at 08.30am (Depending on the draw the night before our game times to be confirmed) Games end approximately 3pm, then we are off to "Blackpool Pleasure Beach" www.blackpoolpleasurebeach.com

Sunday March 31st: Another early start with meeting at breakfast for 07.30 am Tournament - group matches and intermediates Games end approximately 3pm & again off to finish what wasn't done the previous day (!!!) at "Blackpool Pleasure Beach"

Monday April 01: 07.30am meeting at breakfast Finals followed by prize-giving ceremony

If we are not still involved in Tournament, we will do a bit of sight seeing & shopping that morning. At 12.30pm we leave for Hollyhead to connect with the 5.15pm scheduled ferry to Dublin.All going well we should be back in Watergrasshill for 11pm ish on Monday April 01.
