U-12 GIRLS Away v Fermoy today

Firstly thanks to all girls & families who travelled to Fermoy for our game earlier this evening.

A good team performance where we rotated all players as much as possible.

An historic game for our Club & our girls academy, with Elannah Sheehan scoring a remarkable 5 goals and desirably been named player of the game. Elannah continues her fantastic season as top scorer to date and has a natural instinct for goal & a great all round team player.

Of course behind every forward/striker are a complete squad of players, from goal keeper to defence through to midfield & fellow strikers, with every player playing their part.

A special mention also to Maggie Darragh, who at 8 (not 9 until August..!!) had a great game tonight up front, setting up Abbie's goal and battling for everything.

Many thanks to Deirdre in Fermoy Girls Academy for facilitating the game & to Andy Mc Grath as referee & arranging the penalty shootout at the end of the game which we all enjoyed..!!!

We wish Fermoy AFC all the best as they embark on a new era for their Club with their Girls Academy.

We were there ourselves 12 months ago...
