Just a synopsis of our Family Fun Weekend, the numbers below & for each event tell the story...

Friday May 31: Watergrasshill National School blitz from 11am in the school grounds with 100+ pupils participating from all classes. 6.30pm - early hours: 1,500+ people enjoyed the "festive atmosphere" created by food stalls, local shops, restaurant & pubs with DJ Johnny O Regan, local musicians Sean & Niamh Barrett and Kelsey & Grace (2 of the GOON SQUAD) followed by RETRO LIVE, all on the main street.

Saturday June 01: 1pm-5pm: Outdoor Spinathon in Watergrasshill National School's grounds 28 participants over 4 hours, music by John O Regan 2pm-6pm: Underage Academy Soccer Blitz 10 Clubs, 33 teams, 345 participants with an additional 200+ there to support. Medal presentation for all participants plus a healthy "goodie bag", also "club of the blitz award" which was awarded to Fermoy AFC. 7pm-8.30pm: Food stalls, local shops, restaurant & pubs with DJ Johnny O Regan 8.30pm-10.30pm: LIVE Pig Racing on the Main Street 4,500 onlookers YES 4,500.....!!!!!!! 10.30-late: DJ Johnny O Regan on stage, great crowds staying on after the Pig racing event.

Sunday June 02: Family Orienteering outing at Ardnageehy Woods by KEPAK from 11am. 172 participants over a 4.3KMS walk Over 35's Annual soccer tournament, 8 teams with an overall audience of over 300 people, all in the National School grounds The Hut Bar presentations from 9.30pm to the early hours, another fantastic turnout.

Roll on next June, the wheels are already in motion.....!
