U9’s “Tournament by the Sea” Final in Kinsale

Well done to all the U9 lads who competed in the "Tournament by the Sea" in Kinsale over the last 2 days. The lads were outstanding over both days of this well organised tournament in a fantastic location. Some tears were shed by some of the players and their supporters after narrowly losing out in the cup final to a very good Temple United team. Final score in the U9 Cup Final. Watergrasshill United (2) - Temple United (4) with 2 fantastic goals from Ryan Murray and Dylan Roche. This was the U9's first big tournament in which we saw some great passing, some incredible goals, Ryan's hat trick, Eoghan's 4 goals against Mayfield, Dylan R's debut as a captain, Joseph's goal keeping, Rory's assist, Sams hard work and 2 goals, Darraghs and Daniels defending, Brendan's energy and speed, Dylan F work on midfield, Eoin getting stuck in and Jim shielding the temple players form the ball.

Well done lads, an achievement to be proud of. Hopefully we learned from this and will come back stronger next year.
