Under 10’s at Kinsale

We spent a great 2 days at the Kinsale blitz and I would like to thank Kinsale FC for a fantastic tournament of football..the weather we'll leave to God!

What can I say except that once again this squad of players gave everything to their managers to each other and to their club.

On Saturday we beat Mayfield,Blarney,Kinsale, and only went down 1-0 to Passage, when the pressure was on the lads had to win their last match to go through to today's final and they did that with a 1-0 win over Kinsale.

Today was heart-breaking,we played Blarney in the final and held the lead with 2 minutes to go and Blarney drew level

This took us to penalties which in turn went to sudden death penalties,a cruel way to lose as an adult so you can only imagine how a child feels.

Our season is not yet over and I would say that now is the time for the club to give credit and recognition to this team of players for a fantastic season where we as managers have made little fuss over what these guys have actually done.

In league 1 of the small sided league these lads have gone unbeaten against StMary's,Rockmount,Mallow,Leeside, and Castleview

these are some of the best clubs in Cork and for other managers to compliment these lads for their teamwork and overall attitude make us very proud and glad to work with such a great crew.

Paul,Marcus, and myself have kept this low key because we know we are working with lads that will bounce back from today and are destined to go on to better things....provided they remain as the squad they are and maybe with a few extra players...certainly not split up to fulfill another agenda. So I would urge the club to acknowledge these lads with a proper reward for what to date has been a fantastic season
