SUMMER CAMP 2013 – C.S.L. & UNDERAGE ACADEMY

Our 2013 Watergrasshill United’s Underage Academy’s SUMMER CAMP will kick off this Monday at our Skehanagh Park grounds in Watergrasshill. The Camp will run from Monday July 1st till Friday July 5th each day from 09.30 to 14.30.

The Summer Camp will be designed to deliver 5 action packed days of fun, skills and games for boys & girls of all levels of ability, from age 5 + in a non competitive environment and to encourage everyone to stay active & healthy. This year’s Camp will be run voluntary by our Underage Committee Members which will ensure familiarity & commitment to all who attend. We also intend to utilize the services of known individuals who are / have been associated with the club & have great experience in up to date coaching & training techniques. Team Thomas (www.teamthomasfitnesscentre.com) has come on board again this year with their services and facilities to show the kids some fun and healthy exercises.

We hope that by focusing on participants needs & performances, we will encourage all to achieve and demonstrate enjoyment, equality and fair play in sport and of course to make friends.

While every effort is made to ensure continuity during the week of the camp, we would ask you to please understand that in the interests of safety and welfare there may be occasions where we cannot continue to coach and it becomes necessary to suspend or cancel coaching activities. When making your booking you will be asked to supply appropriate daytime contact numbers. In the event that an activity must be suspended you will be contacted and advised to collect your child. The coaching staff will supervise children until the parent/guardian arrives

What to bring... (Suggested only….):

• Packed lunch & drink
• Suitable playing gear including shin guards, shorts, socks, boots etc.
• Sun cream, hopefully this will have to be used..!
• Change of gear on wet days
• Any medication you may require (Please ensure we are notified of same)

The Club has full ESB, toilet, shower & water facilities available if/when required.

What do you get:

Our Soccercamp Sponsor Ken Ross of Centra Watergrasshill kindly donated a € 20.00 voucher, redeemable at Centra WATERGRASSHILL STORE ONLY, to all paid up participants, and these will be issued to Parents/Guardians on the day of enrolment, Monday July 01th.

All participants will receive a Training Sports Top after the first day of Camp that will include: Our Club Crest on the left front & the child’s personalized initials on the right.  We are going with vibrant colours this year, an Electric Orange Training Top for boys and an Electric Pink Training Top for our Girls Academy. Also included will be black shorts & black socks to compliment the top..!

Elite Camp:

We have a separate Elite Summer Camp daily from 2.30-4.30pm Mon-Friday inclusive for our older Club members (1st year and older). Details were sent separately and this camp will have a completely different structure i.e. cost is different & hence will not include a Centra voucher. Relevant text were sent to squads concerned.

Code of Conduct and Basic Good Manners for Watergrasshill United Summer Camp

1. Punctuality for the Summer Camp is important. If you are unable to attend please ensure contact is made with the relevant Coaches.
2. Remember, as a member of Watergrasshill United’s Summer Camp 2013 how you behave on and off the pitch is a reflection on yourself and Watergrasshill United
3. Do not get involved in behaviour that will reflect in a negative way on yourself or Watergrasshill United.
4. Treat all Club facilities & officials at all times with respect.
5. Respect & support your teammates at all times. If there are any issues please report them directly to the relevant Coach (s).
6. Retaliation and verbal or physical abuse of another player or Coach will not be tolerated and will be reported to parent/guardian. This may mean expulsion from the Summer Camp
7. Members must refrain from using bad or foul language towards Coaches and fellow members.
