U-15’s Unlucky away V Avondale

WATERGRASSHILL UNITED 3 - 4 Avondale United 4 - 3 Watergrasshill United A great game end to end an exciting 90 minutes, you could'nt take your eyes off this exciting battle ...within 5 mins we were 2-0l down to sloppy defending ..but within 5 mins Adam pegged one back from a great move with his attacking parther James .. Avondale shot & then got their second .. Seamus came close on 3 occasions but could not put the ball in the Avondale net ..but 4th time lucky ,2-2...Conor, who was having a great game at right back seems to be in trouble but still managed to set James up for our 3rd ...half time Watergrasshill United up 3-2.... Second half Conor off injured...we were well on top with Andrew now in midfield with Greg and Jason back in his fimalar role at centre back with Luke aided by Darren at left back ..but we were to lose James next to another injury ... At this stage we were under real pressure ..3-3.... ..Andrew and Greg came close to scoring on numerous occasions but no luck .. with 5 mins to go Avondale stuck for d winner ..we battled hard for the last few minutes but no joy with Simon coming close ..a great performance in a game we should have won..Well done to the entire squad, they all played a vital role in this great performance..keep up d work with a bit if luck this game would have been ours.
