Watergrasshill U7s and U8s travel to Ballyvolane to take on Leeds AFC

Our U7 Panthers, U7 Tigers and our U8s did our club proud today when they traveled to Ballyvolane to take on Leeds AFC. With over 35 kids traveling from the hill, we combined all the lads into 2 teams of 5,6,7 year olds playing two 10 a-side games. Billy's team put in a great performance against a determined Leeds side in what was a very competitive game between two equal and eager groups of 5,6,7 year olds, providing end to end excitement. Rob's team fought hard to come back into the game after being well behind in the first 2 periods. A well determined Watergrasshill side got 3 goals within the last period and almost finished the match all square.

Both teams put in a solid performance and provided great entertainment to the parents and other supporters. Well done lads you showed the true spirit of our soccer club.

A special word of thanks to Leeds for two very sportive games and most of all thanks to all parents and other Watergrasshill United supporters for encouraging the lads from the side line.
