U18’s Grab a Late Winner away to Lakewood!

Our U18 team pulled off a great team performance yesterday away to Lakewood. With 2 key players missing, we knew we would be up against it especially with Lakewood sitting in second place in table.

But every player played there part in winning the game 2-1. We went one up mid way in second half but Lakewood came after us with wave after wave of attack and in the end with 5min left on the clock, Lakewood equalized with a fine goal from a free kick .

At this stage we would have settled for a draw but no one told our team! From the kick off with 2min left Pj Dennehy broke down the wing sending in a perfect cross met by Kyle Cronin  with a perfect header leaving the Lakewood keeper no chance.

You could not have written it! What a finish....well done lads.
