U15’s Defeat Table-Toppers Kilreen Celtic

We blew the race for the title wide open today with a hard fought victory against league leaders Kilreen Celtic. With this being Kilreens last match of the season, they knew a victory for them would extend their lead at the top. A victory for us would help us climb away from the bottom two. They came out fighting and brought a physical dimension to their game and took the lead. We stayed in the game, had more of the play, being helped by the elements, and a goal from Andrew made the scores at HT 1-1.

The second half was a different affair with our backs to the wall at times but the defence stayed strong and we scored two goals from Seamus and Padraig. Kilreen had to go for it and as a result left chances for us on the break in which we managed to convert one from Andrew.

An excellent victory for the lads.
