Our Watergrasshill United U10 team finished the season with a well deserved 6-1 win over Riverstown this evening. On a fabulous evening at Skehanagh Park we played three 15 minutes 11 a side periods box to box. Some great team play resulted in goals from Eoghan K (2x), Dylan R, Rory and Nicky (2x).  Thanks to Martin from Riverstown, the Riverstown U10 team for a great game and Chris the referee.

After the match we had a much deserved team dinner in the Fir tree to close off the season. A season which started of with a squad of 13 players and subsequently grew to a squad of 18 in total. Over the past season we have met on 46 occasions, consisting 24 training & 22 matches. We more than held our own with the majority of teams we have played and look forward to next season. Our policy of rotating & ensuring all players play a minimum of ½ game, at times difficult, will bear fruit in the long run.

A vital ingredient in any team, is the commitment from parents for which we are really appreciative of. The support for the team, and not only their own son, that we got during the season has been fantastic. We would like to thank all players and their parents for their continued support and commitment during the year.

The season is officially finished now, enjoy the break, training will recommence at the start of august to prepare us for our first competitive season in the Cork Schoolboys League.

Squad: Rory, Dylan R, Eoghan K, Ronan, Brendan, Ryan, Daniel, Darragh, Joseph, Jim, Eoin, Eoghan O’L,David, Nicky, Sam, Dylan F, Adam, Ben.
