Another great win for the Watergrasshill United U11A Team

Our Watergrasshill United U11A team travelled to Shanbally this morning to take on Carrigaline U11B in their second CSL Division 5 League match. On what was a fabulous sunny morning, we took a chance at the start with a 3 man back line, 4 midfielders and Jake up front. The extra man on midfield payed of in the 15th minute when a simple shot by Jake was misjudged by the Carrigaline goalie. 1-0. Jake completed a hat trick within 10 minutes with a shot and a fantastic lob over the keeper. Half time score  0-3. Carrigaline changed their formation in the second half and within 5 minutes they were back in the match 3-1. A fantastic save by our keeper Ben kept us in the game. We moved newcomer Eimantas from midfield to the back to create a back four, helping us to control the game from then on. Tim had another great goal in his second appearance followed by Eimantas scoring on his debut. 5 minuted from time, Ross curved a free kick over the wall and over the keeper.  Final Score: Carrigaline U11B (1) - Watergrasshill United U11A (6)

Well done lads. A great game where we saw Caolan and Eimantas joining us, some great passing, solid defending but also a lot of things we can improve on. So training continues next Tuesday from 7-8.30. €2 contribution.

Next game SAT OCT 4 at home against Lakewood Athletic A, Skehanagh Park, 10.30am,  but we might have a cup game on Sept 27/28 prior to that.
