U11a make it four in a row

Our U11A's made it four in a row today with a hard fought win over Lakewood U11a. Just like last week, Lakewood were proving to be a hard team to score against and with the majority of play, we failed to find the net in the first 25 minutes. Until the moment Sam took the ball and soloed from the half way line to lash the ball in to the back of the net. The score at HT 1 – 0. A few more chances in the second half confirmed our lead but we were unlucky in the finishing and the post didn't help us either. With 15 minutes to go it was all hands on deck as Lakewood put fierce pressure on our backs and some fantastic saves from Daniel kept us in the game. Final Score: Watergrasshill U11a (1) - Lakewood U11a (0).

The match had us change our formation three times due to injuries, throwing the game plan out of the window and messing up our substitution plans. The pressure that Lakewood put us under towards the end of the match didn't help our subs either as we had to put all hands on deck to keep the lead. But everyone got some game time today and it was a solid team effort. Job well done lads. 4 wins in a row.
