U11 Div 2 Update

Our U11 played their third CSL division 2 game earlier today against Ballincollig U11A at a cold and windy Skehanagh Park. With a squad of 12 again this week, it meant that the 3 subs had to keep moving to stay warm. The referee helped us all by kicking of the game 15 minutes early. The summer is definitely over now.

We started to put pressure from the kick off and within 11 minutes we were 3-0 up. We brought in our subs early and started to rotate the positions. At half time we asked the lads to focus on passing and combinations in stead of on the goal. Hard for the lads not to press forward and we scored more goals in the second half while playing out of position than in the first 30 minutes.

It was great to have 12 players again today with everyone playing their part. Great to finally have a goal from a header today. 5 wins in a row (Carrigaline, Corinthians, Douglas Hall, Lakewood, Ballincollig) this season. Well done lads.
