Carrigtwohill U11 (1) v (1) Watergrasshill United U11

Our Under 11's travelled to Carrigtwohill this morning with the intention to put our last result behind us and more forward. Conditions play a part in games with the wind, rain, pitch etc , however they are applicable to both sides. With the wind behind us, we looked at trying to build a lead but to no avail. We had most of the play & several corners but could not find a way pass Carrigtwohills keeper who pulled off some good saves. We failed to break them down and at times resorted to some long shoots. Against the run of play we conceded a penalty, which Carrigtwohill converted. 2 minutes before the break we levelled the game with a goal from Eoghan direct from a corner.

With the wind now against us, confidence was there that we could go on and still win the game. This didn’t prove to be the case and Carrigtwohill, although no major treat on our goal had more of the play. Josephs handling in goal was excellent with their long shots. The game became scrappy at times but a battle also.

It was windy today but the pitch was in a good condition but as we enter the winter we will have to adapt to worst conditions.
