Crosshaven U11a (1) – Watergrasshill U11a (4)

Our Watergrasshill U11A's took on Crosshaven earlier this morning on a blustery Camden pitch. With a gale force wind facing us in the first half, Crosshaven took the lead after only 10 minutes, beating the offside trap. After 15 minutes we made a few changes, moving Eimantas up front and introducing Seweryn as left mid. In one of his first actions, Seweryn took the ball from the midway line and rushed towards the goal. In scoring position he was brought down by the Crosshaven defence. Penalty. Ross converted the penalty professionally and brought us back in the game. 1-1. Five minutes later Seweryn added another. Half time score Crosshaven U11a (1) - Watergrasshill (2).

With the wind in the back, we  started the second half with confidence. 10 minutes into the second half Sam converted one of his powerful shots into the goal. 1-3. We pushed on and expanded our lead when the ball broke for Jake to put in the net. Our captain for the day Garreth, with Eoin and Ben at the back, kept the defence organised for the remainder of the match in which we saw some solid goalkeeping from Daniel. Final Score: Crosshaven U11a (1) - Watergrasshill U11a (4). Well done lads, 6 wins in a row.
