Juniors pick up another three points

2015 has started well for the AUL team as we took up where we left off in 2014. However, a lack of games over the previous few weeks could be blamed for the slow start in this one as we conceded an early goal from a corner after only about 15 minutes, We went in level at half time when Dave Dennehy curled home from just inside the box  after being set up by Paddy Regan.

The second half started brightly we could have added a few more but it was not until midway through the half when the Donoughmore keeper was caught out of position trying to save a corner and Dan Hollywood returned the clearance from 30 yards to the back of the net despite the acrobatic efforts of two defenders on the line. He doesn't score ordinary ones !!

The back four was now coping comfortably with the threat being posed by the visitors and the game was made safe when Johnny Dorgan finished high to the roof of the net after being put in by Dave Dennehy.

All in all, a great result as it was hard to know how we were going to respond after the winter break but the signs are good for the rest of the season....
