Pitches closed for Friendlies until further notice
As per Chairmans email earlier today,
1) refrain from training to take on any of the two pitches over the coming weeks till there is a vast improvement in weather conditions and the committee clears them for use for training as there was a lot of work done over the last month or so to get the pitches as good as we can for this time of year and all this work will be lost if pitches are destroyed by over use.
2) No friendly games on either pitch on any weekend that there are scheduled competitive games to be played
3) All pitch bookings have to be booked through Rob Knaap as website co-ordinator & Marcus O’Rielly as teams secretary as he can liaise with leagues & managers to see if teams have fixtures over the coming weeks
4) Training Area - Managers to try and take care of training area going forward, and defer training when it’s very wet. Even though it is a training area these will be academy pitches come next spring and summer so we need to mind them as best we can going forward
5) CANCELLATION - Since the forecast is not to favourable over the next few days any teams that have arranged friendly’s for this weekend must cancel them so as to give scheduled competitive games the best chance of being played, We appreciate that managers are trying to get game time for their teams but we can’t do it to the detriment of the pitches. As the weather improves we will review the process going forward.
