Watergrasshill U11 vs Douglas Hall U11a

Our watergrasshill United u11s faced Douglas Hall this morning on a glorious and sunny Skehanagh Park. We got off to a flying start when Cillian hit the post in the first minute of the match. We continued to have most of the play and we had several corners, hit the post and crossbar 3 times but we couldn't find a way pass an outstanding Douglas Hall keeper who pulled off some good saves. We failed to break down the solid Douglas Hall defence and had to wait until the 27th minute before Adam put the 1-0 into the back in the net with a long distance shot.  HT - Watergrasshill United U11 (1) - Douglas Hall U11a (0).

Luck wasn't on our side at the start of the second half when Adam hit the post twice within 10 minutes. Again we were struggling to break down the solid Douglas Hall defence and it took another 15 minutes before Adam's long distance shot from the left wing was walked into the goal by Nicky. We kept the pressure on in the final part of the game and got a lucky goal in the last few minutes through a Douglas own goal. Final Score - Watergrasshill United U11 (3) - Douglas Hall U11a (0).
