Watergrasshill U12b (6) – Midleton U12b (1)

Our U12 Div 7 team made it six wins in a row today with a well earned win against Midleton U12B at our Skehanagh Park grounds. We started with Daniel in goal, Eoin, Shane and Gareth in the back, Ben, Eimantas and Eoghan in midfield and Colm and Darragh upfront. Darragh put his name on the goal sheet only 4 minutes into the game and added another one 10 minutes later through a beautiful volley from a Ben corner. Eimantas added two more, the third one through a well taken penalty and another one just before half time. Half time score ... Watergrasshill U12B (4) - St. Midleton U12b (0). In the second half Brian was introduced upfront and David took over from Eoghan in midfield. Darragh completed his hat-trick in the 35th minute and Ben lobbed the ball over the goalie in what was a fantastic goal. At this stage of the match Midleton started to get more and more possession and chances but some outstanding goalkeeping from Daniel kept them from scoring. A consolation goal in the final minutes of the match put the final score of 6-1 on the score sheet. Final Score: Watergrasshill U12B (6) - Midleton U12B (1)
