U13 Watergrasshill United 0 – 3 Fermoy

On Saturday November 11th Watergrasshill Utd welcomed Fermoy to Skehanagh Park for an U13 premier league fixture.

The game started in a frantic fashion with both teams working hard to take control of the game. As the game settled Watergrasshill were beginning to get the upper hand and had the better possession, testing the Fermoy keeper on a few occasions. Fermoy gradually worked their way into the game,to make it a very competitive first half. However it was the defenses that prevailed and the score remained 0- 0 at halftime.

At the start of the second half Fermoy came out of the traps a lot quicker and within two minutes had the first goal of the game. A loose ball was picked up on the edge of the box by the the Fermoy no.10 who shot into the top corner of the goal giving the keeper no chance. 32nd minute Watergrasshill 0 - 1 Fermoy. On the 43rd minute with Watergrasshill pushing numbers forward to try and get an equalizer they were caught on a counterattack and Fermoy scored their second goal. Watergrasshill to their credit kept battling but fermoy were now taking control of the game and their dominance was rewarded on the 49th minute when they scored their third goal.

Fermoy had to endure some late pressure from Watergrasshill but the game finished Watergrasshill 0-3 Fermoy.
