On Sunday November 12th Watergrasshill Utd U12As welcomed Lakewood Athletic B to Skehanagh Park for a league game.

Conor Kearney in goal in the first half had little to do but did it well. The backs of Cian McGrath, Cian Morrison and Darragh O Bric cleared every ball that came there way. Cian Morrison has really adapted to his role as centre back and has made it his own. Cian Mc and Darragh both played well throughout with Cian making some good runs up the right wing and was unlucky not to score on one ocassion.

Darragh is improving with every game and isn't afraid to get stuck in and take on his man and he made some daring runs up front. Jack Hynes came on in the backs and played his part getting in some good tackles and scored a goal for himself in the 2nd half. James O Leary and Ryan Power are really starting to gel together and are the engines behind this team in the middle of the field. Cillian O' Sullivan had a mighty game on the left wing and was unlucky not to score on several occasions.

Jack Gaffney started on the left wing and bagged himself his first goal of the season. Aaron had another good game, this fella covers serious ground in a match and popped up again for another goal. Jacob Coleman had a great game upfront causing havoc for the Lakewood defense and netted himself 3 goals, a fine hat-trick! Conor O' Riordan was introduced on the right wing for the 2nd half and he tormented the Lakewood defense with his runs and was rewarded with a cracker of a goal late in the 2nd half. Conor O' Mahony also played well when introduced outfield and pulled off two great saves in goal in the 2nd half.

Torin O' Brien, James Healy, Rory McSweeney all played there part when introduced throughout the game.

A great performance from all the boys saw us win comfortable 8-0. Next day out now is November 26th in the cup vs Blarney.
