U18 League 1 : Springfield Ramblers 1 – 1 WGH Utd

Not much time to recover for this game as we faced Springfield away in Cobh on Tuesday evening August 21st. This was another step up in class with Springfield fresh from an 8-2 victory over Castleview. We were under enormous pressure in the 1st half and yet created the best chance of the half with Ciaran Crowley just failing to convert. We were unlucky to go behind to a hooked volley 30 mins into the 2nd half but the lads didn’t give up and Matt Quinn scored the equaliser volleying home from a corner with 1 minute left.
