Watergrasshill (Irish: Cnocan na Biolrai) is a small town in County Cork, Province of Munster, Ireland. The 2011 census recorded a population of 1,316. Bypassed in 2003, the town is situated on the R639 road. It is accessible via junction 17 of the M8 motorway. The National Ploughing Championships were held here in 1974 and 1979. Cork Schoolboys League U12 Division 5 CHAMPIONS! Congratulations to Pat, Gary and the U12A squad for their historic achievement last night. First year in the CSL and a trophy at the first attempt while competing a year above themselves. This is the first time this has been achieved in the history of the club.

Our U12A team will face Mayfield United in a playoff for the U12D5 league this Thursday June 23rd venue TBC. ko at 7pm. Please support the lads as they look to win the league in their first year in the CSL.


Albert Conboye Cup Final at Skehanagh


Skehanagh Park will host the Cork Schoolboys League U12 Albert Conboye Cup Final this Wednesday with kickoff at 7pm. The final will be contested between Richmond and Lakewood Atheltic A. Match officials on the night will be Gerry Hurley, Chris Sheehan, Ryan Conway & Denis Morley.

Support our U12’s this Thursday June 16th as they host Kanturk in the U12D5 league at 7pm at Skehanagh. A win for the lads will force a play-off between Watergrasshill and Mayfield to see who will be crowned champions. A big crowd on the night will help the lads along!


Local Legend Dinny Bing Retires from Over 35’s Action (Again!)

Watergrasshill United would like to wish local legend Dinny Bing all the best in his retirementt from Over 35’s Action. Despite retiring 3 times in the last 2 years, Dinny was tempted into a comeback this year but is adamant about retirement this time around so I suppose we’ll see you again next year Dinny!

Our 2016 Watergrasshill United’s Ross Centra SUMMER CAMP will take place at our facilities at Skehanagh Park Watergrasshill from Monday July 11 till Friday July 15th Inclusive from 10 am to 2 pm.
