Apr 14th – U16 Kanturk (3) v (4) Watergrasshill United

U 16 team continued there winning run this morning with a very hard game away to Kanturk, we got off to a good start when after about 20 min we went ahead with a fine goal from Dylan Ring. Kanturk came back at us in waves with attack after attack and were rewarded for it with a goal to make it 1-1. They went further ahead on the half hour mark with a very soft goal from a Hill point of view but we were back on level terms just before half time when Dylan O Donavan had some great slick passing between himself and PJ to unleash an unstoppable piledriver to make it 2-2 at half time. We continued to play better in second half when we went futher ahead with 2 goals from PJ Dennehy. Kanturk pulled one back with about 10 min remaining but we fought hard to shut them out and this was epitemized when Kanturk were bearing down on our goal but the ball was taken off the Kanturk strikers foot by a fine goal saving tackel by Ronan Brady just as the player was about to pull the trigger, after that we saw the game out to claim another 3 points with 3 games remaining ..well done lads.
