During his coaching career he has worked with many young players who are now established recognised stars including David Beckham, Joe Cole, Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard &, Phil Jones to name a few. Jason Brown heads up the Cork & Waterford team which consists of top quality coaches many of whom hold their UEFA B licence and have extensive knowledge and experience of soccer in the region at all levels. “Our team are all based locally and have been specifically chosen for their proven enthusiasm and commitment to grassroots development here in Cork & Waterford. The Coerver Method is a soccer coaching technique which Coerver created. By analysing videotapes of various great players including Pelé,Beckenbaer & Cryuff. A a new concept was devised in football which advocates that skill could not only be inherent with young players but could also be passed on in a comprehensive academic way. Under this technique, players progress in a structured manner, pyramidal, from basics of ball mastery to a tactically driven group attack. They would be exposed to the other essentials like Receiving and Passing, Moves (1v1), Speed and Finishing. The method was then developed globally by two co-founders, Alf Galustian and Chelsea legend Charlie Cooke. This was 1984 and in past 28 years the method is now across the world and the foundation of many National Associations grassroots program. In recent years the English Premier League have utilised this unique program inviting Coerver Coaching to provide coach education and in service training weekends for all Premier League academy coaches across England. At professional club level, English clubs such as Newcastle United, Manchester City, Fulham, Arsenal, and Stoke City all have Coerver Coaching working at their clubs. This will be from youngest age groups at 6 years old through to professional and first team level. These clubs see the long term benefit of Coerver Coaching and how it dramatically improves footballers of all ages and abilities. At these clubs, Coerver Coaching also works with the club coaches and provides in service training for the entire club coaching staff.
