Watergrasshill United U12 vs Leeside U12

After 100 days(!) of postponed league matches, today was the day our Watergrasshill United U12 Division 1 team finally took to Skehanagh Park to face Leeside. With last minute injuries and nasty bugs doing the rounds, we had only the bare 9 players available to us. Ryan M had to play in goal and Aron was moved to the back line together with Dylan F, Eoghan and Adam, Seweryn, Brendan and Rory in midfield and Dylan R. up front.

Motivated and well prepared we started the match only to find the ball in the back of our net after 3 minutes. Watergrashill United 0 - Leeside 1. Within 3 minutes Seweryn put us back in front by 2 great goals from the left hand side. (5” & 7”). The boys controlled the match from then on, and it took a goal from Rory in the 28th minute to go comfortably into the second half. Half time score Watergrasshill U12 (3) - Leeside U12 (1).

Dylan R. was at the receiving end of a corner from Eoghan and passed the ball to Adam, who didn’t hesitate and put the 4-1 on the score board in the 37th minute. Dylan himself put the final score on the match card in the 47th minute.

Great to be back playing matches. Massive win today lads. All about teamwork today and good to see we were hungry for it.
