under 12’s v Wilton

We were away to Wilton United today and came away with a 2-0 win,it was a match where opportunities to score were at a minimum, but a goal just on half time gave us the edge we needed and when we got the second we finished out the game with all squad on the day getting game time,a good win against a solid hard to breakdown team. This leaves us nicely placed behind Midleton and Rockmount but with games in hand,we would have aimed to be in this position at the start of the season and are enjoying Division 1 football as every week is a test and games are settled by no more than the odd goal. It's good for the squad to be tested by every team we play and it benefits them for up coming games. There are no easy games here and I think the parents also enjoy these matches as they are in the main tight and tense and highly competitive. Just a quick note,we are having a meeting on Thursday about the Holland trip and we will hopefully have a clearer picture for you after that, this is just for the organizers and hopefully then we get parents updated
