Watergrasshill U11a vs Carrigaline U11b

Our U11a's returned to winning ways todays after a well deserved win over Carrigaline. On what was a fabulous sunny morning, we started off with great intent. With Eimantas up front, Seweryn, Timmy & Jack in midfield, Eoin, Denis, Sam & Garreth (C) at the back and Ben in goal we created a good few chances in the first 15 minutes. We had to wait till the 17th minute when a corner from Sam was cleared by the Carrigaline defence and picked up by Denis, who didn't hesitate and put the 1-0 in the back of the net. 5 minutes later, a curved corner kick from Sam landed in the back of the net helped by a Carrigaline foot. 2-0. A long distance shot from Denis made it 3-0 just before half time. In the second half we introduced Eoghan O'Leary up from, we moved Eimantas in goal and Ben in the left mid position. Watergrasshill continued where it left off in the second half and a great solo from jack made it 4-0 10 minutes into the second half. We gave Brian Crowley his debut and moved Seweryn to the right and Eoghan centre mid. Our lads kept pressing up front and a quick counter from Carrigaline resulted in 3 Carrigaline players in front of our goal. 4-1. Seweryn made it 5-1 a few minutes from time from the right hand side. Carrigaline escaped the offside trap in the last minute and scored another one. Final Score: Watergrasshill United U11A (5) - Carrigaline U11B (2)
